Well, I don’t really know why we call this page ‘About Adam Eason’ — it really should be called ‘About Me’, because it is me that writes it, after all.

In a nutshell, I used hypnosis to overcome my health challenges, I became a therapist myself, wrote some books, appeared on TV and am here today…

Here is the slightly more comprehensive version, though:

Once I had finished university, I had several psychological and physical health issues that my good friend, mentor, and first hypnotherapist helped me to overcome (you can read about the challenges I overcame in my books, or within our members area — I give better accounts there).

As a result of the seemingly miraculous changes that I encountered, I abandoned conventional medicine and studied hypnotherapy and modern personal development. My introduction to hypnotherapy training.

The Big Guns

Firstly, I trained with lots of the big guns — Tony Robbins in the US, the only personal development guru I have met who is taller than me! He could be a basketball player, though other players may complain at how white Tony’s teeth are. I also trained with Paul McKenna, he is a lot shorter and balding and still managed to become quite a celebrity in the UK and the US.

I trained with the wickedly hilarious Richard Bandler, co-creator of NLP, who adds some kudos to my own NLP training courses by very kindly signing the certificates for the delegates, which makes them very happy.

I also trained with John LaValle, president of the NLP Society, Michael Breen, Eric Robbie, Ian Mcdermott, Michael Neill and others in the emerging field of Neuro Linguistic Programming — I have lots of certificates, practitioner of this, master of that, trainer of this, devilishly handsome master king of that…

I Am A Hypnotherapy Training Nerd…

In the world of hypnosis after I did my first hypnotherapy training diploma with my very good friend Jon Atkinson at Regents College, London, I went on to study with the undisputed heavywieght champion of indirect hypnosis, Stephen Brooks. I also studied with the human encyclopaedia, brilliant author, and very giving man, Kerin Webb and his wonderful wife, Gill Webb.

I have studied with and followed the work of Joe Vitale, star of the film ‘The Secret’, and he wrote the wonderful foreword for my book, ‘The Hypnotic Salesman’.

I have studied with other schools and spent time as a director and complaints officer for The Hypnotherapy Association, and in the last 10 years I have worked with over 6000 individuals in my private hypnotherapy consulting rooms…

A couple of good pals and I created an NLP board game that helps to develop skills while having lots of fun to boot! As a result, I got to meet nd hang out with lots of fabulous people; Michael Carrol of the NLP Academy, the lovely Kate Benson, head of Education at the NLP Society, Robert Dilts, pioneer, multi author and very nice man, and lots of other people too — all of whom continue to influence my own work and I continue to learn much from.

My Hypnotherapy Training Work

My book, ‘The Secrets of Self-Hypnosis’, is one of the bestselling of all time on that subject at Amazon, and my book, ‘The Hypnotic Salesman’, does well too. ‘The Secrets of High Self-Esteem’ doesn’t do as well as those, but heck, you can’t have everything. They have all been translated into a whole bunch of other languages, and more books are in the pipeline.

As you can see from my main website - www.adam-eason.com – I have created lots and lots of hypnosis and personal development audio programmes that people invest in from all over the globe.

My work has featured in international, national and local media, and I have appeared on television on numerous occasions, including my regular position on BBC1’s prime time TV series, ‘Run For Glory’. I worked alongside Olympic gold medallists Steve Cramm and Sally Gunnell, helping the participants overcome psychological challenges.

Earlier this year, I featured alongside top TV psychologists on BBC1’s TV show, ‘The Smokehouse’, and helped the participants of the show overcome fears and get motivated o stopping smoking. There is more TV coming soon too.

I live on the south coast of England, very close to the sea. I love running by it, surfing in it, painting it, and holding hands with my wife alongside it. I spend as much time as possible with my wife, Katie, the true love of my life. Just writing her name here makes me smile. We have a beautiful home and I spend lots of time in our garden, which is another great love of mine. My other love? I support Nottingham Forest football club and have done all my life.

I’ve got a trumpet and I’m gonna blow it…

I am extremely competitive. My family can’t stand playing board games with me, and Trivial Pursuit at Christmas is something that I have to win… I like to walk my talk too (can’t believe I managed to squeeze that classic cliché in here!) — when I say that, I mean I am eager to demonstrate the array of benefits of the many varying hypnotherapy training techniques I use throughout my work.

My competitive nature is amply demonstrated by successfully competing in marathons, half marathons, and various other running events… Even when I train, if someone runs near to me, I speed up!

Today, I am continually researching, studying and working toward discovering and understanding human happiness, achievement and excellence. All of which punctuate and permeate my hypnotherapy training diplomas. It is important to me to encourage innovation by seeking out and employing cutting-edge technologies from across the world. I speak at lots of events and run seminars about these subjects all over the world.

I like to laugh. I am a big fan of live comedy and spent much of my youth watching the Young Ones, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, Blackadder, Red Dwarf, South Park, and have a huge long list of comedians I have watched live, including Eddie Izzard, George Carlin, Peter Kay and many, many lesser known people. I love being entertained and can watch any sport and so I do. I love watching magic, especially Derren Brown, and like to perform many mentalism tricks for family and friends. My students will all tell you that my hypnotherapy training has heavy doses of laughter!

Daily Musings…

Well, I say musings — sometimes they can be rantings… If you want to read about what research I am reading, articles I am writing, reviews, commentaries I have on a wide range of subjects, then do read my hypnosis blog here.

If however, you yearn to hear my voice on a regular basis as well as read my written word, you can get my regular podcasts to listen to on your computer, iPod, or MP3 player, just by visiting the hypnosis revealed podcast page on this site.

At my main website, you can also subscribe to my weekly newsletter, Adam Up, by entering your details into the boxes on the top-right of this page.

As of yet, I do not live in an ivory tower, so I welcome contact from everyone and anyone. Please feel comfortable emailing me from the contact us page. I answer every email personally and always do all I can to be as helpful as possible — please do not ask me technical stuff about the site or products you are investing in, though — the technical guys will deal with that for you.
